Dr. Naana Boakye, where your skin health comes first. Our products are not only effective but also embody my core values: Biology, Beauty, and Benevolence.

These principles guide everything we do, from ingredient selection and brand visuals to our community initiatives, ensuring that our products not only enhance your skin but also make an impact to the world.

Biology

My line is grounded in biology. I reached out to AJ, the owner of Sula Labs, February 1st 2022 to begin this journey. I wanted to use a cosmetic chemist from Ghana because my hero ingredients are sustainably sourced cocoa powder and shea butter. As a practicing dermatologist for 13 years, I wanted to ensure that my custom formulations used scientifically backed ingredients to maintain the health of the skin. Each product was tested in clinical studies to ensure they maintained the skin's pH, reduced TEWL, and brightened the skin and it also received impressive consumer feedback. In addition, I made sure that during hypoallergenicity testing I included all skin types with a wide age range as well as tested on sensitive skin.

Beauty

My commitment to beauty extends beyond these custom formulations. I prioritized supporting female-owned businesses. I collaborated with a black graphic designer for our packaging, which features an white font and ombre design representing the diverse shades of the human race. I also partnered with a female-founded contract manufacturer, videographer and photographers. Additionally, I strived to be sustainable and eco-friendly by using glass and refillable containers, making choices that benefit the environment without compromising on quality or effectiveness.

Benevolence

This brand is built on the principle of benevolence. I believe in giving back to the community and making a positive impact. I support a school in the Suhum region of Ghana, partnering with FairAfric to provide resources to the children and ensure they have access to education and support.
In conclusion, this is more than just a skincare line. It's a brand where your skin health comes first, backed by scientifically proven ingredients. It's about celebrating beauty with sustainable and eco-conscious practices. It's about intentionally supporting female-owned businesses and practicing benevolence by giving back to communities in need.
